Jan 31- Feb 5

The item to get this week is:
$20 placed in a safe location
(preferably the same safe location you put the first $20. Haha.)

You should now have $40 stashed! Woohoo!
By the end of the year, if you follow this schedule, you'll have $200 tucked away!

Jan 24-29

Here's the item of the week:

Flashlights
I'd say 1-2 extra would be good enough or you can buy a new one for each family member

Extra batteries for the flashlights
Batteries get used up like food does so buy extra batteries and then rotate them like your food so you always have plenty on hand!

Do you want The Everyday Meal Planner?

Crystal from everydayfoodstorage.net has a new menu planning e-cookbook out!

http://everydayfoodstorage.net/start-here/products/menu-planning-101

It's originally $17 but it's now $7 for each person with a minimum of 5 additional copies or $4 if we have at least 15 additional copies needed.

She's the same person that wrote "I can't believe it's Food Storage"- which is really great because she gives all the conversions for long-term food storage ingredients which we are trying to use more. There's a video on the link about what's in the e-cookbook and how to use it.

Please respond if you are interested so I can get a count and know if we can qualify.

Let me know by next Sunday so we can get this all together!

Jan 17-22

Here's the item of the week:

Jell-O – 4 large boxes
Diapers

If your fam doesn't eat Jell-O, get pudding or something similar instead.
As far as the diapers go, I'd say stock up on what you'd use in a month. There's another week in late September that asks for diapers again. I'm even thinking of getting some cloth diapers...

Jan 10-15

Did you get your $20 stashed away? Good!

This week's (Sorry it's a little late. Stake Conference threw me off!) item is:

4 containers of Salt

And the good thing about salt is that it lasts forever!

Get your 4 containers now and next time you run out of the salt in your cupboard, go 'shopping' in your food storage and take one container of salt. And then add 1 container of salt to your grocery list so you'll always have 4 extra containers on hand!

If you missed last week, check out this post or see the full year's list here.
